Lobar Associates, Inc. is noted throughout Central PA as an exceptional design/build and construction management contractor. With a reputation for quality projects completed on time and on budget, Lobar Associates handles all aspects of the project – from pre-construction design and planning, through construction and into long-term maintenance. Also, with Lobar’s various divisions, we can provide a wide range of services beyond other standard construction firms. Lobar Site Development focuses on bridge construction and structural concrete projects. Lobar Technologies provides voice, data and security services while Lobar Properties offers custom lease backs and property development.

“On a large construction project, a strong partnership between the owner and the design-build contractor creates an atmosphere in which success is possible for all parties. Lobar Associates believes in the importance of partnership to minimize conflict, maintain schedules and adhere to budgetary constraints,” states Eichelberger.

This approach, as part of the TOTAL SOLUTION program, has turned out many successful projects over the years.

Probably one of the first projects Lobar Associates used this method was the award-winning McFarland Press Building in Harrisburg,” says Stephen Diller, Vice President of Administration. “We might not have had a formal name for it then, but that is what we were doing.” The project ran from 1996 to 1998 with various phases.

“A more recently completed project was the Commonwealth Mail Processing and Legislative Services Center, also an award winner. It was on an unequaled fast track schedule due to the critical nature of the project. The120,000 sq.ft. facility was designed and constructed in 6 months with zero change orders on the original scope of work. This project proved our program works for all involved,” states Diller.
